Who are Research Briefs for:
Whether you’re a policy maker, practitioner, student, or community member, Research Briefs provide clear and actionable evidence you can trust.

These research briefs highlight an integrated program of research examining mental health across the perinatal period, within social and information environments, and among diverse and underserved populations. Together, this work explores how individual experiences, access to information, and broader social contexts interact to shape mental health and well-being.
Research Themes
Our research is organized around four interconnected themes that reflect the scope of work conducted in the BESST/ Konkle Lab. These themes highlight key areas of focus, including mental health during the perinatal period, the role of social and information environments, issues of health equity and access, and the interactions between brain, behaviour, and environment. Together, they provide a framework for understanding how mental health is shaped across different contexts, populations, and levels of analysis.
